Ginger having the botanical name Zingiber officinale is a rhizome, a thick underground stem that sprout roots and shoots. It produces a hot, fragrant kitchen spice. Young ginger rhizomes are juicy (ginger water) and fleshy with a mild taste while mature ginger rhizomes are fibrous and nearly dry. This plant is commonly used for culinary and medicinal purposes. As small and shapeless as it is, it does something beyond what is expected of it.
Let's now discuss about the health importance of ginger people don't know

1.) Ginger may reduce muscle pain and soreness: Muscle aches and joint pain is a very painful experience. What is a muscle? This is a well developed physique. Sometimes the muscle of the leg or any other muscle in the body does cramps. But ginger green tea can help eliminate such pain without any drugs being taken.

2.) Ginger may reduce menstrual pain: 

What is menstrual pain? These are annoying pains experience by a girl or lady during her menstrual or ovarian cycle (A monthly flow of blood from the private part of a girl). Menstrual acne can be frustrating but the  relief for girls is ginger does reduce menstrual pain. Ginger powder should be given to a girl for the first three days of the menstrual period, it should be administered in the morning with a quantity of at most a gram.

3.) Gingers Content may help to Prevent Cancer:

There is a substance in ginger that lowers the possibility of being infected by an infection, ginger retards the growth of many bacteria.

5.) Ginger protects DNA: 

It reduce DNA damage from mold toxin. It also help to protect sperm DNA against oxidative stress and improve fertility in men.

Some nutritional benefits of ginger is that when added to a meal, it burns fat. The juice from ginger roots is often used as a seasoning in Indian recipes. It is very regarded in India, because it has a role in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. It is also an ingredient in the traditional Indian drinks, including spiced masala chai.

Chemistry of the ginger: This rhizome primary consists of Zingerone, Shogaols and gingerols with (6)-gingerol (1-[4'-hydroxy-3'-methoxyphenyl]-5-hydroxy-3-decanone) as major pungent compound. Zingerone is produced from gingerols during drying having lower pungency and a spicy sweet aroma.
